SK Training and Projects is proud to offer an exciting 3-month Training Program specifically designed to equip unemployed youth with valuable technical skills and hands-on industry experience. This opportunity is aimed at young people eager to learn, develop practical skills, and improve their chances of finding employment in the technical and engineering sectors.
The program focuses on providing basic training in in-demand trades in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and engineering. By participating in this program, selected candidates will gain practical knowledge and introductory experience that will serve as a springboard to future job opportunities or further technical training.
This initiative is part of SK Training and Projects’ commitment to supporting youth development and equipping young people with the skills necessary to actively participate in the labor market. The program is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about hands-on work and developing technical skills.
AVAILABLE PROGRAMS
The Training Program will offer training opportunities in two important technical trades. A limited number of participants will be selected for each program to ensure specialized training and quality hands-on experience.
The available programs include:
Boilermaker – 10 places
Participants selected for the Boilermaker program will receive introductory training on metal fabrication, structural work, and basic boilermaking techniques. The program will familiarize them with the tools, safety procedures, and basic practical skills required in this trade.
Welder – 10 places
Candidates selected for the Welder program will gain knowledge of basic welding techniques and metal joining processes used in various industrial and construction environments. They will learn about welding safety, equipment use, and the fundamentals of the trade.
There are only 20 places available, making this a competitive opportunity for those genuinely interested in developing their technical skills.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The program will last a total of three months, during which selected participants will attend training sessions and gain practical experience in their chosen trade.
To support participants during the training period, they will receive a monthly stipend of R1,500. This stipend is intended to cover their basic expenses while participating in the program.
Participants will also benefit from hands-on learning and structured training, designed to provide them with practical knowledge that will be useful in their future career paths.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and unemployed. The program is specifically aimed at young people seeking to develop practical skills and improve their employment prospects.
Candidates must have completed their education and hold qualifications from grades 9 to 12. Applicants will be required to provide documentation proving their eligibility.
