TRAINING PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The truck driver training program lasts 12 months, during which selected participants will combine classroom-based theoretical training with on-the-job practical experience. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 21 and 28. They must have successfully completed secondary education (Grade 12), including Mathematics and English.
A valid Category 10 driver’s license is required for this training program. Applicants who already hold a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) will have an advantage.
Candidates must also be in good physical health, possess a valid medical certificate, and have no criminal record. Only those who are currently unemployed and willing to complete the training program in its entirety will be considered.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Applicants must demonstrate strong driving skills and a good understanding of road safety principles. Good communication skills are important, as drivers interact with customers, colleagues, and operational teams.
Basic arithmetic skills are also required, as drivers may need to work with delivery records, route planning, and logistics documentation.
