JOB DESCRIPTION

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent as a basic requirement. A strong background in school admissions and experience using SAMI systems is essential. Knowledge of CEMIS is required, as well as the ability to efficiently perform various administrative tasks.

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, and Google Workspace. These tools are essential for daily communication, document preparation, scheduling, and data management.

Strong communication skills are critical for this position. Applicants must demonstrate professionalism in telephone interactions and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required to ensure clear communication with a wide range of stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

While not required, knowledge of finance and basic financial management will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask effectively, manage time efficiently, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected candidate will manage the reception area, including answering phones, handling inquiries, and assisting visitors. Their administrative duties will include managing admissions, maintaining records, preparing documents, and supporting general office functions.

They will also be responsible for coordinating interdepartmental communication, scheduling appointments, and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time. Maintaining an organized and efficient work environment will be fundamental to their daily responsibilities.
