ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting company property, monitoring activities on the premises, and ensuring that all security procedures are followed.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring the premises and ensuring that the facility remains secure at all times. This includes controlling access to the property, monitoring visitors and vehicles entering and leaving the premises, and ensuring that all security procedures are properly followed.

The successful candidate will also conduct routine patrols around the property to identify any unusual or suspicious activities. By remaining vigilant and observant, the Security Guard will help prevent theft, vandalism, and other security risks.

Another important responsibility will be reporting incidents or security concerns to management promptly. Accurate record keeping and reporting are essential to ensure that all security matters are documented correctly.

The Security Guard will also assist in maintaining order and safety within the workplace environment. This may involve directing visitors, monitoring staff access points, and ensuring that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role requires a physically fit individual who is capable of working long hours and performing patrol duties around the premises. The position may involve standing for extended periods, walking around the property, and maintaining constant alertness.

Security operations often require flexibility, and the successful candidate must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when necessary. Being punctual, reliable, and disciplined are key qualities required for this position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants interested in this position must meet the following requirements:

✔ Grade 12 (Matric) or an appropriate level of secondary education
✔ Valid PSIRA registration (Grade C or higher preferred)
✔ Minimum of 1–2 years proven experience working as a Security Guard
✔ Good communication and observation skills
✔ Physically fit and able to perform patrol duties
✔ Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
✔ Must have a clean criminal record

Candidates who demonstrate reliability, discipline, and strong security awareness will be strongly considered for this role.
