JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Code 14 licensed driver will be responsible for transporting goods using Tautliner trucks and Superlink trailers, ensuring all deliveries are made safely, efficiently, and on time. They will be required to follow planned routes, adhere to company schedules, and maintain up-to-date delivery documentation.
Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections before and after each trip, ensuring cargo is properly secured, and complying with all road and transport safety regulations. They will also be responsible for ensuring all hazardous materials are transported in accordance with Hazardous Materials Safety Regulations (Hazchem).
As the role involves both local deliveries and cross-border transport, the driver must be willing to travel for extended periods and operate in different regions of Southern Africa. Professionalism and excellent communication skills are essential, as drivers may interact with customers, customs officials, and logistics teams during their work.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and good condition, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring that all documentation required for transport and border crossings is handled correctly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants interested in this position must meet the following requirements:
✔️ Valid Driver’s License (Code 14)
✔️ Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving Tautliner trucks and Superlink trailers
✔️ Valid DGP (Dangerous Goods Permit)
✔️ Valid passport for international travel
✔️ Valid Hazchem Certificate (Dangerous Goods Certificate)
✔️ Verifiable and irrefutable employment references
✔️ Age between 35 and 55 years
✔️ Availability to travel within South Africa and cross South African borders
✔️ Ability to work normal working hours and overtime when required
